Shares slumped on Thursday as declining issues led gainers by a margin of 74 to 127. The blue-chip WIG-20 index was down 1.07% to 2,947.12 points.

It appears investors are anxious and waiting for signals to push the WIG-20 past the 3,000 point mark.

Meanwhile, the broad market WIG again faced low turnover (PLN 1.26 bln) and closed the session down 0.99% at 42,968.60 points.
